The Ankh is the combining of feminine and masculine energy to produce life. The circle around the ankh is the sun, a circle or sphere of sunlight, the slits on the sides of the ring are sun rays shooting out from the sun and reinvesting back into themselves in a circle around the ring (the rays shoot into each other, as you turn the ring around). The side slits are also pyramids, the ancient symbol of growth, tall and thin.

The circle and the ankh are like the Sun in this piece, with the slits in the sides of the ring being like rays of sunlight shining out from the Sun, rays of pure, light energy.

This ring is a symbol of the desire to live, and a living embodiment of my life energy, it is my living work, a living part of me that is now separate from me and able to be taken home by you, yet it is still connected to me.
