“You know when a ray beams down from an alien spaceship to abduct a cow for example, and that ray is a beam of light that is sort of glowing usually a purplish blue color? That’s this piece. After finishing this piece, when I looked at it, all I saw was a spaceship hovering above a cow, with a ray of purple light beaming down from the spaceship on to the cow, with the cow floating up to the spaceship. And I thought about how alien abductions are reported often in large grassy areas, where there are crop circles… large designs carved into the grass, presumed to have been done overnight with lasers by aliens… the thought of grass reminded me of summertime, and that’s why I added this piece to the Summer 2021 Collection.”
