Grapevine/Moongrape

Grapevine/Moongrape
Pure Copper Pendant with Brazilian Amethyst
This pendant reminds me of the times my cousins and I used to throw grapes at each other for fun when we were young, because my cousin had grapes growing on the gate right next to their house, grapes were plentiful in a sense, so we thought we’d just have some fun with them. Haha then we’d get yelled at (or really, my cousin would because it was, like, his immediate family’s grapes, and we’d throw the grapes at the house to watch them explode for fun, and my cousin would have to clean it up begrudgingly. Such times we lived in.) Anyways, this piece reminds me of the long sagging grapevine next to my cousin’s house, I don’t think the grapes even grow there anymore… such memories with that grapevine we had. Also, there’s the saying “Heard it through the grapevine” especially in black culture in america, it means you heard it through word of mouth, just through people you know talking about something, like gossip or something, so this piece reminds me of that as well. Plus, this piece, especially the stone in it, the very purple long Amethyst, reminds me of Moongrapes, which are a specific kind of grapes which are kind of my favorite, even though they’re genetically engineered I’m pretty sure, they taste so good to me, and they’re super long, like 2-3x longer than a regular grape, and they are only sold like a few weeks out of the year in Boston where I live, so they’re like a special treat, and they’re like 4x the cost of regular grapes so I don't even buy them I just “taste” a couple at the grocery store, relishing in the delight, before walking off to buy what I really came to the store to buy. But man, when I was a kid I used to beg my mom sometimes to get these, and maybe 1 out of 10 times she’d actually get them, and man it was such a treat to get those Moongrapes, I loved them back then, and still do.
Also reminds me of an eggplant emoji but we’re not gonna talk about that
