What is the meaning behind the Tiger’s Eye stone?

Before I answer that… 

Let me just say that the Tiger’s Eye Gem-stone was first discovered in South-Africa back in the 1800’s…

(by a German Mineralogist called Johann Wucherer) 

However—

It wasn’t until 100 years later in the 1900s that it gained its popularity and started to be mined on a larger scale. 

In Egypt they started using it for designing Amulets and Talismans… 

And in China they started using it as a symbol for wealth and good fortune, to design luxurious jewelry and other decorative items. 

Personally—

I think the Tiger’s Eye stone has a courageous, intimidating glow that makes it perfect for such uses.

(like jewelry for example) 

And as you can tell… 

They only named it ‘Tiger’s Eye’ because of its orange and black colour. And how it resembles an actual Tiger’s Eye. 

Enough said in that regard. 

What is the meaning behind the Tiger’s Eye stone?

Well…

It was used in Ancient Egyptian statues to represent divine vision and protection from Ra (who was the Sun God.) 

And the stone itself is said to be able to dismantle fear and fill the heart with courage. It promotes independence and self-confidence, plus it enhances willpower and gives one the ability to fearlessly go after their goals.
